1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, improve performance, and provide information to the site operators. Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device for a set period of time or until you manually delete them.

2. Cookies We Use

MasterTimeline uses cookies for authentication, essential functionality, and analytics. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our site and improve the experience.

3. Third-Party Cookies

In addition to the cookies we set directly, the following third-party services may set their own cookies when you use MasterTimeline:

  • Stripe: When you interact with payment forms or the subscription management portal, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention, bot detection, and payment security purposes. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Google: We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4, which collects anonymized usage data, page views, and session information to help us improve our service. Google Analytics may also support cross-device reporting and advertising features when Google Signals is enabled. These cookies are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Vercel: If Vercel Analytics or Speed Insights are enabled, Vercel may set cookies to measure page performance and collect anonymized usage metrics. These cookies are governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View which cookies are stored on your device
  • Delete individual cookies or clear all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific websites or all websites
  • Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies
  • Configure notifications when a cookie is set

To manage cookies, consult the help documentation for your browser:

Important: Disabling or blocking essential cookies (specifically the Supabase authentication cookies) will prevent you from logging in to MasterTimeline and using the service. If you clear these cookies, you will need to sign in again.

5. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, MasterTimeline uses your browser's localStorage to persist application preferences and UI state. Unlike cookies, localStorage data is never sent to our servers automatically — it is accessed only by client-side code running in your browser.
